Caring Canadians Society runs its own food, clothing, and essentials bank for last three years in London Ontario. Low-income families avail themselves of our facility on a monthly basis. We also provide basic household items to new immigrant and struggling families. Other than our food, clothing, and essentials bank we provide door to door food delivery to physically and financially challenged individuals and families in our community.
Caring Canadians Society also supports several other organizations in our community who are providing relief to homeless individuals. We have campaigns all year round that we run for different organizations and shelters.
Another exceedingly popular program that we run at CCS is the regular seniors’ meetup where our seniors get an opportunity to enjoy activities like art and craft, games, zumba and health sessions by professionals in our community. In the summer, we aim to provide them with more outdoor activities.
Caring Canadians Society is prioritizing activities for seniors as one of our main causes, and we are actively working on further seniors events.
Special thanks to Ms. Saba Tabassum for a very informative session on diabetes. Another special thanks to Shoikat & Noor for conducting an excellent exercise session.
Clean water for communities, free education for poor children, special equipment to the disabled, and food support for the less privileged in Pakistan.
Water is the very essence of life and should be a basic human right for every human being. However, many underprivileged communities across the world have trouble accessing clean water. Caring Canadians Society strives to ease this problem by providing these underprivileged communities with water wells and hand pumps.
CCS runs a free school for less privileged and poor children in Karachi. These children are not only provided with free education but also receive healthy meals and clothing all year round which their families are unable to provide for. This is our small attempt to make a big difference in the lives of these children and their generations to come.
Mobility should be a right rather than a privilege. However, some people don’t have a choice. Special mobility equipment and wheelchairs are very hard to access for underprivileged communities. In collaboration with an organization in Pakistan, CCS provides customized wheelchairs to poor and less privileged disabled individuals in different cities.
Hunger feels the same for everybody so that the easiest to empathize with. Food is a basic need of every human being. With this ideology, CCS provides approximately 500 hot meals every week to less privileged individuals and families in Karachi. We also provide monthly ration to poor families and widows with no or low incomes in five cities of Pakistan.
